Jiri Sisnu Powder 200g – Himalayan Stinging Nettle Leaf Powder
Sisnu Powder 200g from Jiri Foods is dried, ground stinging nettle leaf (Urtica dioica), known in Nepal as sisnu. Sisnu is a wild Himalayan green that Nepali families have long cooked into the much-loved sisnu ko jhol (nettle soup). Drying and grinding the leaves removes the sting, so you can enjoy sisnu any time of year without gloves. The 200g jar gives about 40 servings, with nothing added.
What is sisnu?
Stinging nettle grows wild in the hills of Nepal. Fresh leaves have tiny stinging hairs, which is why they are picked with tongs and cooked. Nettle leaves naturally contain minerals such as iron and calcium, plant protein and vitamins. Read more on Wikipedia.
